Tenders
When awaiting for different tenders to arrive, keep in mind that the final price is not all you should consider. Carefully consider the quality of material, the inclusions, final finishes and fixtures supplied. All these items combined may have a considerable influence on the outcome of a project. Basing each tender on a similar specification is very wise and will make your final decision easier.
Licencing
A builder must be licenced for the appropriate work proposed. Jocon Building has an unrestricted licence to carry out all residential and commercial building work. Our team and all trades people are fully qualified, licenced, and insured.
Insurance
Jocon Building is constantly covered by the following insurances.
- Home warranty insurance
- Public liability upto 20 million dollars
- Contracts work insurance (builders all risk insurance)
- Workers compensation insurance for employees
Jocon Building can produce current copies of all the above insurances’ upon request
Sustainable and Energy efficient homes
Sustainable features in a home could be solar power, solar hot water, graywater recycling systems, water tanks, thermal insulation, low E glazing etc.
To help produce a more energy efficient home, in 2004 the government made it compulsory to meet the minimum requirements in BASIX during design, and then the construction of a home. There are many ways to include sustainable and energy efficient features in a project. Water, gas, electricity, insulation, glazing are but a few.
